DOCTOR WHO: TOM RHYS HARRIES JOINS CAST FOR UPCOMING SERIES

Tom Rhys Harries, best known for roles in Suspicion, Unforgotten and White Lines has joined the cast of Doctor Who for its upcoming series.

Executive Producer Phil Collinson told Doctor Who Magazine: "It's an extra special delight for the Bad Wolf team to welcome Welsh talent on board the TARDIS. And Tom Rhys Harries is an international star, we've been trying to find the right part for him for a long time. And this one is spectacular!"

Also today, it was revealed Emily In Paris star Paul Forman is to appear in the upcoming series of Doctor Who, which launches on BBC iPlayer on Saturday 11th May.

As revealed in Entertainment Weekly, Forman will play a "mysterious Regency-era character named Lord Barton, who has a surface-level charm but carries sinister secrets underneath his smooths words" in the sixth episode, Rogue.

He commented: "Any new chapter is exciting to be a part of, especially when it's of a beloved and remarkable universe such as Doctor Who. To join such an established project and to combine it with this feeling of new and unbounded possibilities was thrilling. It made this role a special experience that I will never forget."

Showrunner Russell T. Davies added: "Someone like Paul isn't just a name; he's a talent. He comes along in episode 6 and it's a whale of a time. We've all seen Emily in Paris, and we've seen him being one sort of person. I don't think anyone's quite expecting him to become this sort of person."

Meanwhile, the time vortex has been opened with episode titles revealed for Doctor Who’s highly anticipated upcoming season ahead of its simultaneous global premiere this May.

Audiences will journey the cosmos with the Fifteenth Doctor, played by Ncuti Gatwa, and Ruby Sunday, portrayed by Millie Gibson, onboard the TARDIS — exploring the groovy sixties, the Regency era in England, war-torn futures and more!
