A look ahead to some of the new and returning reality series expected to air in 2025.
THE TRAITORS
BBC
The return of the intense psychological game in which players must decide who they can trust. In each episode, the players work together to complete spectacular physical and mental missions. If they are successful, they add money to a prize pot, which is worth up to £120,000. But to win the prize pot, players must survive to the end of the game – they must avoid being ‘murdered’ or ‘banished’.
DESTINATION X
BBC
Merging fantasy with reality in this larger-than-life adventure competition series hosted by Rob Brydon, viewers will follow contestants as they embark on the road trip of a lifetime but have no idea where they are. In order to win, they must figure out their mystery locations. Once they're on the blacked-out Destination X bus, the journey transforms into a real-life boardgame with challenges designed to offer clever clues as to their location.
THE APPRENTICE
BBC
For the candidates who survive the first boardroom with Lord Sugar, an array of challenging tasks lie ahead. Across the series they will be creating a virtual popstar, turning a ton of potatoes and tomatoes into cash, designing and marketing Easter Eggs, jetting off to Turkey for a corporate hospitality challenge and taking on the classic discount buying task in historic Stratford-upon-Avon.
STRANDED ON HONEYMOON ISLAND

In this bold and original new adventure dating format, six couples are matched by experts and then immediately after committing themselves to each other in an intimate ceremony, will be dramatically abandoned in idyllic isolation for the adventure of a lifetime. On these remote beaches, fledgling relationships are soon put to the test as the couples live together and fend for themselves with few resources.
I KISSED A BOY

The format sees 10 singles, who are matched up, meet for the first time… with a kiss. No small talk. No swiping on apps. Just one kiss to test out their chemistry straight away. Will it be a polite peck? Or a passionate snog? And ultimately, will that first kiss lead to love?

Hosted by Ben Shephard, 14 strangers from all walks of life will face the daunting challenge of climbing a mountain in the breathtaking, rugged Alps of New Zealand’s South Island. They will also face the ultimate test of strategy and resilience as they compete for a share of a potential £200,000 cash prize
THE FORTUNE HOTEL

Hosted by the incomparable Stephen Mangan, 10 pairs of contestants will arrive at The Fortune Hotel, where they will be given an all-important briefcase. Inside one case is the ultimate jackpot of £250,000 in cash, eight are empty, and one contains the dreaded Early Checkout Card – whichever pair is left holding that case at the end of each show will see their stay brought to a dramatic, premature end.
SHARK! CELEBRITY INFESTED WATERS

The show will dare a group of ocean-phobic celebrities to confront their greatest fear – sharks. Throughout their adrenaline-fueled, challenge-heavy journey in the Bahamas – the shark capital of the world – these A-listers will push past their limits to come nose to nose with nature’s ‘villains.’

Everyone’s favourite villa is ready and waiting, packed with brand new sexy singles in the return of Love Island, hosted by Maya Jama. The first coupling up is on the way, and the big question is… who’s here for love? With a tasty £50k prize up for grabs, the game is well and truly on.

The third series of Big Brother on ITV2 and ITVX will follow another iconic star-studded edition of Celebrity Big Brother which is set to air on ITV1, STV, ITVX and STV Player in spring 2025, as a new batch of famous faces take up residence in the UK’s most famous abode.

Heading back Down Under, award-winning hosts Ant and Dec return for another series of Bushtucker Trial-filled fun. A whole new cast of celebrity campmates will be ditching their creature comforts for a life lived under the stars; where collecting stars is once again key to earning food for camp.
OLIVIA ATTWOOD'S BAD BOYFRIENDS

The first series of Olivia Attwood’s Bad Boyfriends saw eight unsuspecting lads travel to a Greek island under the premise of filming a series about manhood and bromance. But Olivia soon crashed the party, giving the boys the shock of their lives announcing their wild partying days were on hold, ultimately revealing the true purpose of the show.
GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM

The show will immerse an opinionated group of six Brits, with views across the immigration argument, in the reality of the perilous journeys refugees and migrants make to the UK. Starting on our UK borders, our contributors will first travel to the homelands that refugees are so desperate to leave.
VIRGIN ISLAND

New series which follows the contestants 'take tentative steps towards losing their virginity' and delve into the science behind sexual attraction.
CELEBRITY HUNTED

The celebrities are tasked with going on the run across mainland UK while an elite team of Hunters try to track them down. They must evade capture for 14 days, while the Hunters throw all their resources at catching them. The Hunters are handpicked team of police and military personnel, are armed with the powers of the state – CCTV and ANPR cameras, helicopters, drones, dogs, media campaigns and the latest in cyber forensic technology.
LOVE TRIANGLE

Returning for a 10x60’ second series, on E4, this new outing of Love Triangle, produced by Workerbee (a Banijay UK company), will serve up a raft of fresh twists, turns and surprises, promising yet more excitement and drama, as six new singles embark on one of TV’s most unpredictable romantic roller coasters.
THE HONESTY BOX

The series brings a cast of singles together in “Truetopia”, a sunny and romantic paradise where truth and honesty reign supreme. Ready to try a new approach, each single has signed up to this new radical dating experiment knowing they will be tested, in the hope it will lead to true love. To encourage full transparency in their new relationships there is a prize fund of £100,000 up for grabs, but only if the daters choose to be open and completely honest about their true feelings.
MARRIED AT FIRST SIGHT UK

The series will follow the couples as they meet for the very first time at the altar. Following the Australian format, rather than legal marriages, the couples will make a lifelong commitment to one another at a glamorous ceremony, overseen by a wedding celebrant, that includes guests, bridal gowns, dancing, speeches and cake.

The series will feature plenty of new challenges, memorable dating excursions and more chances than ever to find the perfect connection, all-new Celebs Go Dating is sure to be its most dramatic series yet. Viewers can expect a rollercoaster ride of dating highs and lows, bombshell moments, and plenty of laughs.

Holly Willoughby hosts this action-packed competition show that sees a group of unlikely British celebrities dropped into the Costa Rican jungle as prey for one of the world's most fearsome predators – Bear Grylls.
