22 KIDS AND COUNTING RENEWED FOR SIXTH SERIES ON CHANNEL 5

Channel 5 have commissioned a sixth series of 22 Kids And Counting ahead of its upcoming fifth series launching on 21st July.

In the upcoming fifth series, as the kids grow older the problems get greater - from relationships breaking down to marriage proposals - this season sees the Radfords challenged in ways they never imagined. Casper is given the chance to fulfil his dream of being a pro footballer when he’s invited to a trial, but what happens if he doesn’t make the grade?

Bullies try to get the better of Tillie by targeting her disability. But being a Radford means you’re made of tough stuff. Tillie won’t be deterred from doing what is right and having her much-needed operation. Sophie turns 30 but the last thing she wants to do is celebrate. The dark clouds have gathered and Sophie’s distance from her family has taken its toll.

Younger sister Chloe is having none of it so a girls’ trip to Amsterdam is booked but leads to disastrous consequences! Noel finally regains the courage to resume his search for his birth mother only to realise he’s still not come to terms with the death of his adopted mum.

All this plus the Radford book launch, Daniel plans his Australia move, Aimee trials a career in hairdressing, and a spotlight is shone on the Radford dogs at Dog Fest!

In the first episode, excitement is building in Morecambe as Noel and Sue prepare to move to their dream home, and Casper lands a prestigious Premier League trial - can he make the grade?

Noel and Sue have long dreamt of one of their 22 kids becoming a superstar so when 11 year old Casper has his heart set on playing football for Liverpool, Noel tries to make this big dream a reality by arranging a trial with Premier League scouts.

But despite Professor Max training up his younger brother with his guaranteed-not-to-fail fitness techniques, Casper fails to make the grade with the football scouts, leaving Noel to break the heartbreaking news.

But in the midst of this, Sue’s dream of a big country home comes crashing down, when their chain collapses leaving daughter Chloe to comfort her distraught Mum and remind her of all that they already have.

So with dreams dashed, the family rally round to support each other make new ones. And rising from the ashes, Casper, with the help of his Dad, manages to land a new football team. A new team, and with it, a new dream.

22 Kids And Counting returns Sunday 21st July at 8pm on Channel 5.
