BAFTA announces the nominations for the 2025 BAFTA Television Craft Awards and BAFTA Television Awards with P&O Cruises, celebrating the very best in television over the past year. A total of 134 programmes received nominations today.

The six programmes with the most nominations are: eight nominations for Baby Reindeer; Six nominations for Mr Bates vs The Post Office, Rivals and Slow Horses; Four nominations for Life and Death in Gaza (Storyville) and Say Nothing.

21 out of 44 nominees in the performance categories have received their first BAFTA Television Awards nomination, including Ariyon Bakare (Mr Loverman), Bilal Hasna (Extraordinary), Christopher Chung (Slow Horses), Danny Dyer (Mr Bigstuff), Dylan Thomas Smith (G’Wed).

Plus Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer), Jonathan Pryce (Slow Horses), Kate O’Flynn (Everyone Else Burns), Lola Petticrew (Say Nothing), Lolly Adefope (The Franchise), Marisa Abela (Industry), Mckinley Belcher III (Eric), Nabhaan Rizwan (Kaos).

And Nava Mau (Baby Reindeer), Nicola Coughlan (Big Mood), Oliver Savell (Changing Ends), Phil Dunning (Smoggie Queens), Richard Gadd (Baby Reindeer), Sharon D Clarke (Mr Loverman), Sonny Walker (The Gathering) and Stacey Soloman (Sort Your Life Out)

Sara Putt, Chair of BAFTA, said: “From stories that got the nation talking, to courageous documentaries about conflict and real-life events, this year’s television nominations celebrate the exceptional creativity and craft of British and international television, and of the talented people who bring it to life on-and-off screen...

"It’s fantastic that almost half the performance nominees are receiving their first television nomination, and it’s heartening to see nominees who have been supported by our talent programme Breakthrough. Supporting the next generation of talent is an essential part of BAFTA’s mission. It’s also wonderful to see strong female representation in the Directing category, particularly for talented female directors - who are still significantly outnumbered by their male counterparts when it comes to awards submissions...

"The Awards are a moment to celebrate our peers and colleagues, to showcase skill and ingenuity in TV, and to give much-deserved praise to the industry’s creatives. Massive congratulations to all the nominees.”
