BBC REVEALS FEBRUARY PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS, NEW AND RETURNING TITLES

BBC have revealed the new and returning titles launching on BBC One and iPlayer during February 2025.

Death In Paradise

Having made his debut in the feature-length Christmas special in 2024, Death In Paradise returns for a brand-new series. Don Gilet will play Detective Inspector Mervin Wilson - who arrives on the idyllic island of Saint Marie from London, and isn’t overly pleased with his new surroundings…

Dope Girls

Produced by Bad Wolf in association with Sony Pictures Television, the drama is inspired by a forgotten time in history. It is the end of World War One. As Britain celebrates the Armistice on the streets of London, men return from the front expecting to rejoin society and pick up where they left off - but a newly empowered generation of women are loath to simply return to the kitchen.

Waterloo Road

New headteacher Stella Drake joins the school as the students become increasingly unruly following the effects of last term and she soon feels out of date as she clashes with the school’s modern pastoral approach. Her unfiltered honesty is both endearing and abrasive. She tells it as it is and while her intent is to inspire positive change, her methods can sometimes ruffle feathers.

Amandaland

With both Manus and Georgie now at secondary school, Amanda has to try and get her head around raising teenagers, dealing with modern motherhood horrors like teenage drinking, fake Instagram accounts and eco anxiety. Not even a woman as certain of her parenting as Amanda can deal with these nightmares alone. Amanda’s mother Felicity (Joanna Lumley) is constantly around, and completely in denial that she is, in fact, lonely.

Boarders

Boarders follows five talented black inner-city teens transported to an alien world – a British boarding school – after gaining scholarships to the prestigious St. Gilbert’s. They set out to make the most out of the opportunity, despite their places only being offered as a poorly-disguised PR exercise to improve the reputation of the school.

The Apprentice

Series continues

18 brand new candidates are set to battle it out for the opportunity of a lifetime and win Lord Sugar’s £250,000 investment and mentorship. With mixed teams from the offset, it’s win or luge as our candidates hit the slopes, kicking off the series in the Austrian Alps tasked with selling tour packages.

Gladiators

Series continues

Bradley and Barney Walsh kick off a new series of the iconic competition, which sees a fresh crop of gritty Contenders take on the superhuman Gladiators in five brutal events before going head-to-head in the gruelling Eliminator. Who has the will and the skill to conquer the infamous travelator and win a coveted place in the quarter-finals?

Transmission details for all titles mentioned will be announced in due course.
