THE BIG BLOW OUT AXED BY CHANNEL 4 AFTER ONE SERIES

EXCLUSIVE

E4 have decided not to renew hair-styling competition The Big Blow Out for a second series, TV Zone can reveal.

Hosted by AJ Odudu the competition saw eleven experienced, keen and passionate hairstylists compete in a series of extravagant and jaw dropping hair challenges that will take each stylist’s creative flare and talent and push it to the next level.

A Channel 4 spokesperson told TV Zone: "The Big Blow Out gave us many spectacular hair creations and we grew to love our passionate prodigies, but like all broadcasters we often have to make the difficult decision to stop making some programmes in order to make new ones."

The contestants were judged by legendary hairdresser Sam McKnight and award-winning hairdresser to the stars Lisa Farrall, as well as a weekly guest judge. The series aired on E4 last Autumn alongside Married At First Sight UK.

This news follows the cancellation of Five Dates A Week, SAS Who Dares Wins, Four Weddings, Kirstie's Handmade Christmas, Recuse: Extreme Medics and reports of Scared Of The Dark and Rise & Fall by the broadcaster.

The Big Blow Out is available to stream now on Channel 4.
