BIG BROTHER TONIGHT: MONDAY 28th OCTOBER 2024

Here's a rundown of what to expect in tonight's episode of Big Brother, which continues on ITV2 and ITVX.

TASK TIME. BIG BROTHER’S PHONE IS RINGING OFF THE HOOK

 Day 22 in the Big Brother House and Big Brother has another task up his sleeve. And this time, he’s dialling it in. 

 While Emma, Nathan and Sarah chat in the kitchen, the Big Brother telephone starts to ring. Answering the phone, Sarah is told: 

Big Brother: “Hello Sarah. For today’s task, the Big Brother phone will be ringing off the hook. To pass the task, Housemates must answer the phone each time it rings and complete the call. Sarah…

“Your style is on point. Your hair deserves much more recognition. Unfortunately, not all Housemates have your style. Sarah, you can now choose one Housemate who you think needs an upgrade the most.” 

Sarah quickly decides: “Well, I’m going to say Marcello. Because some of the things he wears are absolutely abhorrent.” 

 Big Brother: “Sarah, you now have 15 minutes to give Marcello a full makeover upgrade.” 

Can Marcello get his glam on in time? 

 Later in the day, phone call number two rings through to the House. This time, Martha picks up. 

 Big Brother: “Hello, this is your shopping delivery service. Can I have the name on account please?

“I’m calling about some suspicious activity on your account. I just need to verify some of the items that you have ordered. Martha – did you order 15 packets of Tangfastic gummy sweets, two boxes of tea bags, two jars of instant coffee? I just need you to bring these items to the Diary Room and then we can get this mix up all straightened out for you. Nothing to worry about.” 

This does not go down well, with Dean particularly aggrieved at the possibility of having the items confiscated. And as Martha takes them to the Diary Room it seems that there’s a further twist.. 

Marcello intercepts a call later that afternoon and Big Brother has another game for the Housemates to play. The game is simple. To answer the question correctly, Housemates must pass the phone to the person they think the question is about. Starting off with ‘This Housemate claims to have snogged Mick Hucknall.’ And as the game progresses, the seemingly innocent questions reveal some surprising truths… 

There are even more emotional scenes as Heads of House, Dean and Ali, get phone calls from two of their loved ones. But the rules are clear – whoever answers the phone cannot pass it to anyone else. 

A calm and collected Sarah carefully repeats what Reece, Dean’s partner, is saying to an incredibly moved Dean. 

 Lily answers the next call, much to the consternation of a few of the other Housemates. On the end of the line is Ali’s partner.

“Tell Ali I love her so, so much. Tell her she’s my person. Tell her that I want to spend the rest of my life with her. Tell her I’m really, really proud of her. Tell her I’ve just had roast dinner with her parents. Tell her, her mum is wearing a red witch’s hat…” 

BRIDGES ARE BEING REBUILT BETWEEN HANAH AND MARTHA

 In the garden, Hanah, Martha and Segun discuss Friday night’s epic falling out. The ice between Hanah and Martha seems to be thawing and their friendship getting back on track.

Martha: “I would say I’m a lot more like my mum. I’ve annoyingly got traits of my Dad. Do you know how I argue back? That’s my Dad.” 

Hanah: “I told her. You argue back like my cousin. And the way that she speaks to me. The reason why she got underneath my nerves too is because of how my cousin speaks to me when I’m arguing with her. And that triggers me a lot.”

Martha: “I almost like love Hanah like a sister. I think we both speak our minds. I feel like I’ve had an argument with my sister. I can see I was winding her up, and I was like ‘mmmm’.” 

Hanah: “That’s literally what my cousin does and it p****s me off. Because I was literally seeing my cousin in her. And it was vexing me so much.” 

 Martha says: “I literally love you like a sister.”

 Hanah: “You p**s me off like a sister.”
