BIG BROTHER TONIGHT: WEDNESDAY 16th OCTOBER 2024
Here's a rundown of what to expect in tonight's episode of Big Brother, which continues on ITV2 and ITVX.
FOUR HOUSEMATES GAIN POWER UNDER BIG BROTHER’S NEW GOVERNMENT
Overnight the Big Brother House turns political as it’s transformed into 10 Downing Street for this week’s shopping task.
As the Housemates arise and enter the living room the walls are adorned with BBUK themed political campaign banners such as ‘Make The House Great Again’ and ‘Luxury Shopping Budget For All’.
Big Brother then broadcasts a live news bulletin from Big Brother News which informs the Housemates of today’s task, the bulletin reads: “Today's top story, Prime Minister Khaled is facing mounting pressure as the nation's luxury shopping budget hangs in the balance. The PM has called an emergency cabinet meeting with his most trusted ministers Emma, Daze and Nathan.”
The announcement continues: “Difficult decisions lie ahead as the government must manage the public purse and put their citizens to work to overcome the tough tasks in front of them. The stakes are high as the state of the nation must be improved or the citizens will be faced with another grim week of economy shopping.”
Emma is appointed Minister of Transport, Daze is the Minister for Energy and Nathan is the Minister for Agriculture all of whom dress up in politician inspired outfits which draw comparison to some familiar faces.
As Nathan heads out of number 10, Martha shouts: “Boris Johnson, not Boris Johnson.”
When asked in the diary room what qualities Nathan shares with Boris Johnson he says: “A bit of foolishness, I would say is similar between myself and Boris Johnson, potentially slightly mad and clearly we both love a party as well and we’ve both got great hair.”
Daze declares: “I’m Theresa May” whilst Emma adopts the role of the infamous iron lady.
It’s not long before the Prime Minister and his cabinet put the rest of the housemates to work as they must complete their tasks under the government's watchful eye.
THE HOUSEMATES BICKER OVER BAGELS
During the task the Prime Minister and his cabinet enjoy a luxury lunch in their private quarters but as leftovers are brought back out they don’t go unnoticed by the citizens as they contemplate eating them.
Keen to avoid another rulebreak, Dean jumps off the sofa and says: “I’m throwing it in the bin, we can’t eat it, it’s got to go in the bin, we’re not failing.”
Khaled disagrees with this decision as does Sarah as she says: “I hate wasting food.”
Dean asks Khaled: “Did you get pissed off with me for throwing the bagel?”
Izaaz replies: “For me, it’s just the fact of throwing food.”
Dean says: “Look, I never want to throw food, I don’t want to waste it.”
Izaaz responds: “My point of view is that I would never throw it and I think it should have been put in the fridge.”
Later on, talk turns back to bagels as Emma calls Izaaz over to her and Dean and says: “Why have you told people I was annoyed about him throwing the bagel away.”
Izaaz clarifies: “I didn’t say you were annoyed, I said I felt you were annoyed, that's all.”
Emma responds: “Why did you say that when I didn’t say f*ck all to you about it?”
That evening when discussing the bagel fallout, Dean says Izaaz is: “a sh*t stirrer.
Nathan agrees with this sentiment as he interjects: “He is a sh*t stirrer.”
Emma goes on to say: “He annoys me, I can’t lie he really f*cking gets on my t*ts.”
Before bed, the Housemates reflect on today’s events as Martha says: ‘“There was right bagel drama.”
Emma reflects on Izaaz’s thoughts of Dean binning the bagel and says: “He said he was furious.”
Not best pleased by this revelation, Dean says: “That’s bull sh*t because you’re now going to get me riled up and think I’m going to f*cking argue with someone over a f*cking bagel, don’t p*ss me off, don’t f*cking do it.”
Will the Housemates pass this week’s shopping task and will the bagel continue to bring tensions to the boil.
