BRITAIN GET SINGING SHELVED BY ITV FOR 2024, NO SPECIAL THIS CHRISTMAS

EXCLUSIVE

Britain Get Singing will not be returning for its annual Christmas special this year on ITV. TV Zone understands the door has been left open for the format to return in the future.

Supporting by ITV’s mental health campaign, Britain Get Talking, the festive TV event first aired in 2022 and saw groups of celebrities take to the stage for a show-stopping performance, alongside inspiring moments in which the stars discuss their own experiences of mental health.

Roman Kemp hosted both specials on ITV, with a celebrity panel including Jason Manford, Jonathan Ross, Adam Lambert, Alesha Dixon and will.i.am. Groups on the programme featured stars from programmes such as Good Morning Britain, Love Island, Coronation Street, The Masked Singer and EastEnders.

ITV's ongoing Britain Get Talking campaign is supported by Mind and YoungMinds, and by SAMH in Scotland, to encourage people to look after their mental health by connecting with others. Created with Uncommon Creative Studio, it originally launched in 2019 when Ant and Dec paused the live broadcast of Britain’s Got Talent to get the nation talking.

Since then, more than 150 million conversations have taken place as a result of Britain Get Talking campaigns and initiatives, which have featured celebrities including Susanna Reid, Maya Jama, Davina McCall and Roman Kemp.

Britain Get Singing aired on ITV1 and ITVX.
