BRITS DOWN UNDER 'SHELVED' BY CHANNEL 4 AFTER ONE SERIES

Brits Down Under, the reality series which followed a group of adventurous young backpacking Brits transported to the Australian Outback to do farm work in one of the most extreme regions, is unlikely to return for a second series.

Airing earlier this year on Channel 4, the series followed the group as they live and work together, capturing every moment of their new lives as they work hard on the farms by day and let loose at night.

From the moment they arrive, the 12 backpackers were thrown straight into the deep end, expected to handle everything from sheep shearing to harvesting crops and operating heavy-duty machinery.

Charting the highs and lows of life working on the farm, the series captured the parties, first loves and adventures across the Outback as well as the lows – including homesickness and hardcore manual labour.

Brits Down Under is available on Channel 4 streaming now. TV Zone approached Channel 4 for comment.
