BEAT THE CHASERS: AUSTRALIA'S ISSA SCHULTZ TO JOIN UK SERIES AS GUEST CHASER
EXCLUSIVE
The Chase Australia's Issa Schultz is to join the next series of Beat The Chasers UK, TV Zone understands.
Issa will step in for an unnamed Chaser who is understood to be unavailable to record when the show films this week.
Issa is known as 'The Supernerd' on the Australian version of The Chase and Beat The Chasers, where has has appeared alongside the UK's Mark Labbett and Anne Hegerty.
He is an eight-time winner of the Australian Quizzing Championships and seven-time Paris champion. He has appeared on other quizzes such as Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? and The Einstein Factor.
TV Zone understands that one of the current UK chasers is unavailable to film part of the next series, which begins recording on Thursday 17th March at Elstree Studios.
Bradley Walsh hosts Beat The Chasers, where quizzers face up to six Chasers in the ultimate test for those big-money prizes. As ever, it's edge-of-you-seat play as questions swap from contestant to the Chasers. Get a question wrong and their individual or team clock keeps counting down until a question is answered correctly. First to run out of time loses the game.
TV Zone has approached ITV for comment. Audience tickets for Beat The Chasers are available from SRO Audiences.
Beat The Chasers returns later this year on ITV. Previous episodes available to stream on ITV Hub.
