CHANNEL 4 EXPLORE AROUND THE WORLD IN EIGHTY WEIGHS

Channel 4 have commissioned Around The World In Eighty Weighs, a new 6x60' format from Mothership Productions.

The six-part series, due to air in 2023, promises a 'fresh and revealing' approach to the topic of obesity. Channel 4 are currently on the lookout for 'overweight and obese adults of all ages' to take part. More details here.

The format follows members of the public seeking to lose weight as they "travel the world to better understand the relationship between food, culture and body size, and see if they can lose weight along the way."

Channel 4's Alisa Pomeroy said: “Global obesity is one of the unseen world-wide crises of our time, and we are delighted to be working with Mothership on their first commission for documentaries, tackling such an important topic.”
