CHANNEL 4 'DEVELOPING NEW DATING SERIES' WHICH WILL REUNITE SINGLES WITH FORMER LOVERS

Channel 4 are reportedly developing a new dating series from Wheelhouse UK which will reunite single people with former partners, according to industry outlet Broadcast.

Little is known about the format, but it's currently casting for singles in their 20s and 30s who are 'fed up with the modern world of dating'. In order to "find out if their first fling was the real deal", they will reunite with the person they lost their virginity to.

It follows Channel 4's commission of Virgin Island (w/t),  a new series which will explore sexual attraction. The twist - all the contestants are virgins and have not had sex before. The series will follow the contestants 'take tentative steps towards losing their virginity' and delve into the science behind sexual attraction.

Last month it was revealed Channel 4 had commissioned The Honesty Box (working title), a nine-part reality dating experiment for E4, from Mettlemouse Entertainment and GroupM Motion Entertainment which will test if honesty is the secret to finding true and everlasting love.

The series brings a cast of singles together in “Truetopia”, a sunny and romantic paradise where truth and honesty reign supreme. Ready to try a new approach, each single has signed up to this new radical dating experiment knowing they will be tested, in the hope it will lead to true love.

To encourage full transparency in their new relationships there is a prize fund of £100,000 up for grabs, but only if the daters choose to be open and completely honest about their true feelings.

Every day the daters will face The Honesty Box – a new AI-enhanced software – to be asked probing questions about their feelings. If The Honesty Box detects deception, it could impact their newly formed relationship… and the prize fund.

The singles will be guided through the experiment by host Vicky Pattison. Vicky will be joined by motivational speaker and Married at First Sight Australia alumnus Lucinda Light, who will be encouraging each of the daters to discover their inner truth.
