CHANNEL 5 EXAMINE LUCY LETBY TRIAL IN NEW DOCUMENTARY

On the 18th of August 2023, neonatal nurse, Lucy Letby was found guilty of murdering seven babies and attempting to kill six more between June 2015 and June 2016.

As Britain’s worst child serial killer, the 33-year-old was given a whole-life jail term. She will die in prison.

But since Letby’s prosecution, a growing number of medical practitioners, statisticians, forensic experts, journalists and scientists have started to question the case against her.

This 60-minute special unpacks the evidence used to convict Lucy Letby and raise the key questions they want answers to.

The drama, for which no broadcaster is currently attached though The Sun speculates it could be ITV, is being made in partnership with a whistle-blower. It's also not clear whether it will be a series or one-off piece.
