CELEBRITY ANTIQUES ROAD TRIP RETURNS TO BBC TWO, FAMOUS LINE-UP REVEALED

Hit BBC Two factual entertainment show Celebrity Antiques Road Trip returns next month for its thirteenth series, and some of the famous faces hitting the road for the next series have been revealed.

The 20-episode series kicks off where national treasure Anthea Turner goes up against fresh-faced buddie and antique newbie Darren Harriott in their mighty 1966 Mustang. They join iconic auctioneer Philip Serrell and jewellery superstar Ishy Khan on a tour of Cambridgeshire, looking for treasures to make the biggest win at auction.

Anthea’s excitable effervescence and previous road trip tricks ensure a very mixed bag of goodies, from a mid-century dressmaker’s mannequin and a dainty pair of Tiffany grape scissors to a Soviet air raid siren and a soumac rug. Meanwhile, Darren and Ishy go all out, scooping up toy soldiers, a hat stretcher, fancy firedogs and a Japanese pagoda-style lantern.

Also hitting the road later in the series are The Traitors stars Harry Clark & Paul Gorton, Soap stars Matthew Wolfenden & Roxy Shahidi, Athlete Sally Gunnell & former MP John Bercow, radio presenters Dev Griffin & Nihal Arthanayake, actors Leslie Ash & Phil Daniels, presenter Matthew Wright & comedian Shazia Mirza.

Plus TV personalities Charlotte Crosby & Louie Spence, former EastEnders stars Max Bowden & Danielle Harold, broadcasters Moira Stuart, Dempsey & Makepeace stars Glynis Barber & Michael Brandon, comedinas Rhys James & Lloyd Griffith, presenters Suzi Perry & Bob Harris, British soldier Simon Weston & cricketer Monty Panesar.

Muslim Alim, BBC Commissioning Editor, said last year: “It’s great to have Celebrity Antiques Road Trip back on BBC Two this autumn with another exciting list of celebrity duos and a plethora of weird and wonderful items that will have you guessing till the last minute on their profit potential.”

Celebrity Antiques Road Trip returns Wednesday 6th November at 7pm on BBC Two.
