Channel 5 have revealed its slate of Christmas specials from some of their biggest dramas.



The Good Ship Murder

Christmas special

The holiday season is off to a rocky start when the ship's resident Santa falls ill, threatening to disappoint the passengers. Bev puts Jack in charge of finding a replacement Santa, and his search leads him to Buddy, a veteran comedian in Dubrovnik who seems like the perfect fit.



However, unexpected events complicate Jack's plan, leaving everyone scrambling to save Christmas on board... Meanwhile, Jamil sees the Santa situation as his big chance. Inspired by Jack and dreaming of a life on stage, he volunteers to play an elf, diving into the role with enthusiasm and giving it his all.

Return to the wonderful world of Sainte Victoire, packed with unusual antiques and objéts d’art, murder, mystery, sunshine and laughter for a 7-episode series including a Christmas special. Creator Sally Lindsay will return as Jean White, who is navigating a fledgling romance with her sidekick Dom Hayes, played by Steve Edge (Starlings, Benidorm, Maxine).

Dalgliesh

Series continues

In Kent, the local community is rocked by a string of killings committed by the so-called ‘Whistler’. Since every victim is found to work at Larkskill Nuclear Power Station, Dalgliesh is sent to investigate a possible political motive.



He soon identifies an anti-nuclear activist with personal hatred for the chief administrative officer at Larkskill. But he is not the only one to have come into conflict with the outspoken woman. Meanwhile, the recent disappearance of a Larkskill engineer raises puzzling questions for the detectives.
