CHATEAU DIY EXTENDS FRANCHISE WITH SPIN-OFF AND RECOMMISSION

Channel 4 is expanding the Chateau DIY franchise with a new eight-part More4 series, plus recommissions of the daytime series and Christmas specials.

Chateau DIY: Living the Dream (8x60') follows up with eight chateau owners who appeared on the main series of Chateau DIY. Each episode focuses on one chateau and tell the owners’ story from the beginning to the current day, following their extensive renovations and business ventures as well as their plans for the future.

Channel 4 have also recommissioned daytime series Chateau DIY for two 30x60' series, as well as second and third series of its Christmas specials (5x60').

Producer Joff Powell said: "Spark created a beautiful format with their Chateau shows so it is a joy to build on this as we evolve the main format and celebrate the wonderful cast with Christmas and More4 specials."
