DANCING ON ICE RETURNS WITH NEW SOUND AND UPDATED THEME MUSIC ON ITV

A new batch celebrities prepare to embark on the ultimate challenge as they take to the ice each week, skating live in a bid to impress both the panel and viewers at home.

Back for a sparkling new series, the greatest show on ice promises more glitz, glamour and show stopping performances as the celebrities brave it all to learn this challenging new discipline. But who has what it takes to master the skill and steps to lift the trophy at the end of the series?

When the series launches on Sunday, TV Zone can reveal viewers will notice that the show has been given an audio makeover, with a whole new refreshed sound thanks to Paul Farrer, who has composed for the show since it began in 2006. His latest package for 2025 includes updated theme music, stings and beds, as well as credit sequences.

Farrer said: "It’s the familiar theme but I’ve rebuilt it from the ground up. Focusing on the classic elements. A whole new updated sound that references the spirit and pace of the series of the past."

Holly Willoughby and Stephen Mulhern will be back to host the brand new series from Sunday 12th January for nine weeks, with head judges Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean returning alongside Oti Mabuse and Ashley Banjo on the panel to dish out the scores.

The celebrities taking to the rink this year, alongside their professional partner, are The Only Way Is Essex star Dan Edgar and Vanessa James; Reality star Ferne McCann and Brendyn Hatfield; Actress Chelsee Healey and Andy Buchanan; Comedian Josh Jones and Tippy Packard; Olympic Rowing legend Sir Steve Redgrave and Vicky Ogden.

Plus TV presenter Michaela Strachan and Mark Hanretty; Reality star Chris Taylor and Vanessa Bauer; Footballer Anton Ferdinand and Annette Dytrt; The Traitors Series 2 star Mollie Pearce and Colin Grafton; Actress Charlie Brooks and Eric Radford; Coronation Street's Sam Aston and Molly Lanaghan.

Dancing On Ice returns Sunday 12th January at 6:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
