DATE ME AT MY WORST: MAX BALEGDE FRONTS JOE SUGG DATING SHOW
Joe Sugg's production company Final Straw Productions has partnered with BBC Studios to pilot a new digital dating show, which is hosted by TikTok star and podcaster Max Balegde.
The idea behind the series is for singles to show off their good bits and their icky bits on the first date - why wait for 6 months to find out you’re not suited when you could find out now and save time?
Max Balegde said: "It was a great experience working with BBC Studios, Joe and Final Straw Productions. I loved the format and I am so looking forward to the show coming to life."
A source told The Sun: "It’s an exciting new dating format all about honesty, which means the singletons will find out both the best bits and the bad bits of the other contestants they fancy...
"The singles won’t be able to keep their not-so-good personality traits under wraps for long, with Joe helping both sides of each couple find out the truth. Of course, there’s also going to be a twist or two to keep things interesting."
It follows Sugg's previous pilot for a new VR game show, Virtually Impossible, was was produced in partnership with Stellify Media. Joe Sugg hosts 7 contestants through a childlike assault course as quickly as possible.
All very straightforward except for one catch – all the contestants are in VR and this simple course now becomes their worst nightmare. From monsters in mazes to terrifying zip wires Joe serves up simple tasks that become Virtually Impossible.
