DATE MY NAN: NEW DATING SERIES REPORTEDLY IN DEVELOPMENT
Following the success of shows such as My Mum Your Dad, a new reality dating series is reportedly in development from ITV Studios label MultiStory Media.
Revealed by The Sun, the series will see "a string of mature romantics as they head out on a rendezvous with a potential partner." A source added to The Sun: "Producers know the gentle, emotional scenes as the older daters get ready with their loved one will lead to genuinely lovely, heartwarming content."
Meanwhile, the second series of My Mum Your Dad is set to arrive on ITV this September. Hosted by Davina McCall, the series follows a group of single parents who have been nominated by their grown-up kids for a second chance at love.
Audiences follow the single parents from all over the UK and all walks of life as they live together at a stunning country house retreat with one objective: to find true love. But there’s a twist - unbeknownst to the parents, their kids will be watching their every move from a nearby location called The Bunker.
It is there in the surveillance room that they’ll be able to witness all the action of their parents’ journeys to find love and get the opportunity to play matchmaker and decide their mum or dad’s dating fate.
From humorous moments to heartwarming confessions, the kids will see their parents in a whole new light as they are presented with opportunities to select who they’ll be matched with on one-to-one dates and who may join the family celebrations for years to come.
Series 1 of My Mum, Your Dad is available now on ITVX.
