Classic episodes of Doctor Who are to broadcast on UKTV channel U&Eden, starting this May.

The first episode will be the 1970 season opener 'Spearhead From Space' - the first story to feature Jon Pertwee in the title role. Starting on Monday 5th May at 5:20pm BST, with all four episodes airing back-to-back. Stories will broadcast each weeknight, continuing with Doctor Who And The Silurians on Tuesday 6th May.

In Spearhead From Space, the TARDIS takes the newly regenerated Doctor to Earth to begin his exile whilst Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart leads a UNIT investigation into a mysterious meteorite shower. All four episodes are available to stream now on BBC iPlayer.

Meanwhile, the new season of Doctor Who continues every Saturday on BBC One and iPlayer. In the new series, audiences join The Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa) and Belinda Chandra (Varada Sethu) on an epic quest to get Belinda back to Earth. But a mysterious force is stopping their return and the time-travelling TARDIS team must face great dangers, ferocious enemies and wilder terrors than ever before.

The TARDIS is getting ready to take viewers on another thrilling journey through time and space, with some new voices joining for season 2. Juno Dawson, Inua Ellams, Pete McTighe and Sharma Angel-Walfall are the new writers who have stepped on board.

Like many Doctors who have come before him, one is not enough for the Fifteenth Doctor and in season two, he will have two companions by his side as Varada Sethu steps aboard the TARDIS and straps in for another journey through time and space alongside Ncuti Gatwa as the Fifteenth Doctor and Millie Gibson as Ruby Sunday.

There are no shortage of guest stars adventuring with the Doctor (Ncuti Gatwa), Belinda (Varada Sethu) and Ruby Sunday (Millie Gibson). Rylan plays himself, the co-host of the Interstellar Song Contest and Alan Cumming voices the villainous cartoon character, Mr Ring-a-Ding..

Anita Dobson, Bonnie Langford, Jemma Redgrave, Caoilfhionn Dunne, Christopher Chung, Evelyn Miller, Ariyon Bakare, Julie Dray and Jonah Hauer-King all feature in the trailer for season 2, with Rose Ayling-Ellis MBE also joining the ranks for a thrilling and frightening adventure.

A brand new series of Doctor Who means a brand new series of Doctor Who Unleashed, the ultimate companion series airing straight after each episode on BBC Three.

Doctor Who continues Saturdays at 8am on BBC iPlayer.
