DRAMA QUEENS: SOAP STAR REALITY SERIES AXED BY ITV AFTER ONE SERIES

Drama Queens was an authentic and aspirational glimpse into the lives of some of the nation’s favourite stars from three of the most iconic soaps in the UK – Hollyoaks, Coronation Street and Emmerdale, which took viewers beyond the scripted drama of the screen, and into the real lives of soap personalities.

Focused on Manchester and the Northwest, Drama Queens had exclusive access to the cast’s professional commitments, as they juggle late-night finishes, photo-shoots, and last-minute line learning, with their family lives.

The actresses who took part in the series included Amy Walsh, Brooke Vincent, Ellie Leach, Jamelia, Jorgie Porter, Laura Norton, Lucy Fallon and Roxy Shahidi.

An ITV spokesperson told The Sun newspaper: "There are no current plans for a second series of Drama Queens but the first series is available for viewers to enjoy on ITVX, and we wouldn’t rule out revisiting the show in the future."

Drama Queens is available now on ITVX.
