BRADLEY WALSH RETURNS TO DOCTOR WHO FOR CENTENARY SPECIAL
Bradley Walsh will return to Doctor Who as Graham O'Brien in the upcoming special, The Power Of The Doctor, it's been revealed by SFX Magazine.
Airing this October, the blockbuster 90-minute special will be the final outing for Jodie Whittaker's Thirteenth Doctor. The Doctor faces the ultimate battle for survival as she confronts the Daleks, Cybermen and The Master (Sacha Dhawan).
Also starring in the special are the Doctor's friends Yaz (Mandip Gill) and Dan (John Bishop) alongside former companions Tegan (Janet Fielding) and Ace (Sophie Aldred). Plus, UNIT is back, headed up by Kate Stewart (Jemma Redgrave), and Vinder (Jacob Anderson) also returning.
SFX Magazine issue 358, which is out now, reveals that the TV star is returning for Jodie's final adventure, reprising his role as Graham O'Brien. Walsh starred as The Doctor's friend from 2018 until 2021, where he departed the series alongside Tosin Cole, his on-screen grandson.
Bradley Walsh was announced to be joining the long-running series in 2017, alongside the new Doctor, Jodie Whittaker. Speaking at the time, Walsh said: “I remember watching William Hartnell as the first Doctor. Black and white made it very scary for a youngster like myself...
"I was petrified but even though I’d watch most of it from behind the sofa through my fingers, I became a fan. I then queued up for ages to get into the Carlton picture house in Watford to watch the great Peter Cushing appear as the Doctor in a full length feature film made in glorious colour. Am I thrilled to be part of this whole ground breaking new dawn for the Doctor?? Oh yes!”
TV Zone understands The Power Of The Doctor will air on Sunday 23rd October as part of the BBC's week of centenary celebrations.
Further news on The Power Of The Doctor is expected in the coming days.
