EMMERDALE: SHEBZ MIAH JOINS CAST OF ITV SOAP
Next month, Emmerdale welcomes a brand new character who is set to shake things up for the residents in the village.
Viewers will be introduced to Dales’ newest bad boy, Kammy (Shebz Miah), in March, who makes a notable entrance by stealing a quad bike from Moira’s farm, leading to the finger being pointed at Ross (Michael Parr).
Things progress when Sarah (Katie Hill) meets Kammy, who is struggling to start the stolen quad, and we wonder whose side she’ll be on when Ross approaches… When beginning to build a relationship, it’s evident that under Kammy’s influence, Sarah goes back to her roots by adopting the characteristics and behaviours of a true Dingle.
Poised to invigorate the village with his arrival, Kammy will introduce an element of danger, romance, excitement and above all else, his inherent charm. Will the Dingles accept Kammy with open arms, or do they need to watch their backs?
Speaking about his exciting new role, Shebz Miah, said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. Everyone has been so welcoming and I already feel like a part of the family.
“I honestly couldn’t have asked for a better job - the character is such an exciting one to play and Kammy will definitely ruffle a few feathers, but he does have the gift of the gab so although he causes a lot of mischief, I think it will be hard not to like him!”
Katie Hill added: “I can’t wait for the audience to meet Kammy - he’s a really fun character and a great addition to the village. We might even see him and Sarah get up to a bit of mischief together… It has been great having Shebz join the cast and he’s been brilliant to work with!”
Emmerdale producer, Laura Shaw, said: “We are delighted to be welcoming Shebz to Emmerdale as cheeky charmer Kammy. Charismatic, with a very playful spirit, but ultimately kind at heart, Yorkshire lad Kammy promises to bring both excitement and danger to the village.”
Kammy will appear on screen next month. Emmerdale airs on ITV1 and ITVX.
