ALAN CARR'S EPIC GAMESHOW SHELVED BY ITV AFTER THREE SERIES

Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow has been shelved by ITV after three series, with the broadcaster having no plans for a series this year, TV Zone understands.

Epic Gameshow was first broadcast on ITV in Spring 2020 which saw Carr revive a variety of much-loved classic gameshow formats, supersized for the twenty-first century. The last episode to be broadcast was on Christmas Day 2022.

Formats included The Price is Right, Take Your Pick, Strike It Lucky and Play Your Cards Right. Each format was rebooted with a new epic endgame where the lucky contestants could win big-money or top-of-the-range prizes.

Bullseye saw four plucky pairs of contestants take on the questions and the dart boards, for a chance to win big prizes in the Epic End Game. Richard Ashdown kept the scores.

In Strike It Lucky, three pairs of players must navigate their way across a sea of screens, trying to bank prizes and avoid the infamous hotspots along the way. One lucky pair will reach the epic endgame, where they stand to win a mountain of amazing prizes, including a holiday to Mauritius.

Most recently, Epic Gameshow included Child's Play, which was a show which originally aired in the 1980s. The game saw two teams attempt to correctly identify words based on videotaped definitions given by primary school-age children.

TV Zone approached ITV and Fremantle on this report.

Previous episodes of Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow are available on ITVX.
