FAKING IT: CHANNEL 5 SET TO REBOOT REALITY SERIES

Nearly 20 years since it was last on our screens, Channel 5 is reportedly set to reboot reality format Faking It.

Broadcast reports that the broadcaster is "on the brink" of reviving the format, with development in the "advanced" stages with production company Banijay.

Faking It originally aired from 2000 to 2006 on Channel 4 with 48 episodes produced, with most still available to stream on Channel 4's streaming service. The show went on to receive two BAFTA awards.

Each episode sees a member of the public partnered and living with a trained expert for a month with the aim of competing in a contest for which ever skill or activity they have learned. A panel would then pick which contestant was 'faker'.

More details will be revealed in due course.
