Netflix have commissioned Fred & Rose West: A British Horror Story, which it bills as the definitive documentary series revealing the lives and crimes of Britain’s most notorious and prolific husband and wife serial killers.

Produced by Blink Films, the series has exclusive access to previously unseen police video and unheard audio recordings showing how the Gloucestershire police were able to unearth the remains of the West’s 12 victims to build a case against them that would bring closure for the families of the victims.

The series features family members of some of the victims – a few of whom are speaking for the first time – giving insight into the pain and torment they went through for decades. From discovering that their missing loved ones were brutally murdered, to the trauma they experienced and the strength they displayed during the trial.

Meanwhile, Netflix has announced the commission of Grenfell (w/t) (1x90’) produced by award-winning Rogan Productions (Defiance: Fighting the Far Right, Uprising, The Search for Nicola Bulley).

The film will painstakingly connect the long and disturbing chain of events that led to the disastrous Grenfell Tower fire that claimed the lives of 72 people in west London in 2017.

As well as giving a voice to survivors, bereaved families and firefighters, the documentary will unravel and document a series of events that took place in the years before the fire highlighting each warning and failing revealing it to be the inevitable result of Government neglect and cynical industry practices.

More details will be announced in due course.
