FRIDAY NIGHT DINNER TO GET ANNIVERSARY DOCUMENTARY THIS SPRING

The 90-minute documentary will air on Channel 4 later this Spring. Meanwhile, doubt has been cast on whether the series will return for a seventh series.

On the future of the series, CEO of Big Talk Productions, Kenton Allen, said: "I don’t think Robert wants to write a series where they bring their wives and children around. Never say never, but I suspect that’s probably it for the time being. You never know. For the time being, we’re not planning to make any more Friday Night Dinner."

Meanwhile, to celebrate the show's tenth anniversary this year, Channel 4 are in the process of making a 90-minute celebratory documentary - with the contributions from the cast. More information on this special programme will be revealed in due course.

Friday Night Dinner aired its sixth series last year with 4.3 million viewers — the biggest ever rating for a comedy on Channel 4.
