THE GADGET SHOW UNDERGOES ANOTHER REBRAND AHEAD OF NEW SERIES ON CHANNEL 5

The Gadget Show returns to Channel 5 on Friday 29th September, with yet another title and format change.

The new series will be known simply as 'Shop Smart, Save Money' and will see Angellica Bell join the presenting team alongside Ortis Deley, Georgie Barrat and Jon Bentley.

The new series will help households from across the nation to find the right products at the right price. Hosts Angellica Bell and Ortis Deley invite a different family along to their country retreat each week to help them make the best choices when buying items to make their lives just that little bit better.

Consumer journalists Georgie Barrat and Jon Bentley are also on hand to check out cost-effective ways of living more sustainably, and comparing premium products to budget versions to see if there’s money to be saved.

And money-saving expert Harry Wallop with all the latest tips to make our money go that bit further. Earlier this year, Channel 5 changed the title of the long running series to The Ultimate Gadget Guide.

A spokesperson for The Gadget Show said at the time: "While the latest series has proved popular, we acknowledge that there has been some negative feedback regarding the recent format change. We understand that change can sometimes be met with mixed reactions, and we appreciate the feedback we have received from our viewers...

"The decision to transition to The Good Gadget Guide: Shop Smart, Save Money was made to appeal to the broadest possible audience while providing valuable insights and recommendations in the realm of technology...

"The world of gadgets is constantly evolving, and we want to ensure that our content remains relevant and valuable to a broad range of viewers. Our goal is to strike a balance that appeals to a diverse audience while staying true to our commitment of providing valuable and engaging content in the world of technology...

"For fans of the older format, you can still find a wide selection of our classic episodes dating all the way back to 2004 on our YouTube channel, and, exclusive to YouTube, our resident reviewer, Jon Bentley, will also be busy on the channel with in-depth reviews of the latest tech you won’t find on The Good Gadget Guide."

Shop Smart, Save Money begins Friday 29th September at 7pm on Channel 5.
