GO BACK TO WHERE YOU CAME FROM: MEET THE CAST OF NEW REALITY SERIES, TRAILER RELEASED
Go Back to Where You Came From is a bold and timely immersive factual series that will challenge how British people feel about asylum seekers and immigration.
The show will take an opinionated group of six Brits, with views across the immigration argument, to the frontline reality of the perilous journeys refugees and migrants make to the UK. The cast is made up of six individuals from a variety of backgrounds across the UK. They are Dave, a chef from Nottingham; Bushra, a small business owner from Surrey; GB News regular Chloe, originally from Cornwall.
Plus Nathan, who owns a haulage business in Barnsley; Mathilda, who is a podcaster from London and Jess, a sports coach from south-west Wales – who will be putting their outspoken views on immigration to the test, on a life-changing journey.
Dropped into contrasting, high-risk locations, they start their journey in Mogadishu in Somalia and Raqqa in Syria, two of the most dangerous cities on earth. How will they cope with experiencing the threat of near-by missile strikes, witnessing mass overcrowding of camps, and being up close to those living in devastating poverty?
They then travel to countries on migrant routes through Africa, the Middle East and Europe into the UK, facing scenarios and experiences which continually challenge their views. They have to trek in the African desert, climb over border crossings through mountain ranges, and experience first-hand some of the terror of small boat crossings.
Go Back to Where you Came From takes an unflinching look at the truth of immigration, across the debate. Tackling the issue head on, the series will confront, educate, anger, shock and tug at the heartstrings of liberals, the right wing and everyone in-between.
