INTERIOR DESIGN MASTERS WITH ALAN CARR RENEWED FOR FURTHER TWO SERIES ON BBC ONE

Hit BBC One series Interior Design Masters with Alan Carr (produced by DSP, a Banijay UK company) has been recommissioned for a further two series.

And this time the competition stakes are even higher, with this year’s winner having the opportunity to team up with John Lewis for their very own collection of homewares.

Alan Carr welcomes ten novice designers looking for their big break in the world of commercial interior design. Over eight weeks they’ll be competing to win a collaboration contract with the UK retailer to produce their own line of homewares. Design expert and former editor of Elle Decoration, Michelle Ogundehin, returns as the series judge.

Casting is now open for series seven, with filming set to begin Summer 2025. Producers are on the hunt for ten more designers who want to hone their skills on the ultimate interior design crash course with a brilliant prize at the end of it.

Alan Carr, Host of Interior Design Masters, says: “To get your show recommissioned is always a lovely thing but to get it recommissioned twice is really special. And it’s such a wonderful feeling to know that Interior Design Masters will, for the next two years, be keeping the UK entertained and also inspired.  I feel the show goes from strength to strength and whether Interior Design Masters makes you giggle on the settee or propels you up a stepladder with a drill in hand to give your room some much needed TLC, we hope we put a smile on your face.”

Patrick McMahon, Commissioning Editor for Factual Entertainment comments:

“It’s a joy to welcome Alan, Michelle and the immensely talented Interior Design Masters back. Once again viewers are in for a treat, with more jaw-dropping transformations, clever design hacks and a truly life-changing prize for the winner.”

Donna Clark, MD DSP, comments:  “Interior Design Masters continues to build in both numbers and ambition year on year. I’m absolutely delighted to get a further two series commission and give the next generation of talented contestants the opportunity to continue to showcase their extraordinary design skill.”

Michelle Ogundehin, Judge on Interior Design Masters, says: “An abundance of reasons to celebrate! I could not be more pleased that Interior Design Masters will be coming back for two more series. This new partnership promises an incredible opportunity to our series 6 winner. I cannot wait to see their designs in stores across the UK!”

Susanne Rock, Executive Producer DSP, says:  “We couldn’t be more delighted that this year’s prize is offering a life changing collaboration contract to the winner of this year’s Interior Design Masters. It is a huge prize for our 10 brilliant designers to work towards. The locations and challenges are more iconic than ever, and we are so excited to see what they will make of the spaces.”

Jason Wilary-Attew, Director of Home at John Lewis, says:  “We’re very excited to reveal our creative partnership with Interior Design Masters. This collaboration champions fresh talent, and we can’t wait to showcase the winner's vision and bring their designs to homes nationwide.”

Interior Design Masters is produced by DSP (a Banijay UK company) and commissioned for BBC One and iPlayer.
