ITV REVEALS AUTUMN DRAMA HIGHLIGHTS

ITV have revealed the new and returning drama series hitting screens this Autumn,



The Tower

The third series of the gripping crime thriller is based on author Kate London’s third novel and is adapted by screenwriter Patrick Harbinson (Homeland, Fearless, 24). The series stars Gemma Whelan as DS Sarah Collins, Tahirah Sharif - who was BAFTA-nominated for her role as PC Lizzie Adama for the first series - Jimmy Akingbola as DC Steve Bradshaw and Emmett J Scanlan as DI Kieran Shaw.



Joan

The character of Joan Hannington, a London jewel thief, has been brought to life by international actress Sophie Turner (Game of Thrones, X-Men: Dark Phoenix, The Staircase). Inspired by the real Joan Hannington and certain events from her life, this exhilarating and emotional new six-part series is created and written by the acclaimed screenwriter Anna Symon (The Essex Serpent, Mrs Wilson) and directed by BAFTA winner Richard Laxton (Rain Dogs, The Thief, His Wife and the Canoe, Mrs Wilson).


Playing Nice

BAFTA-nominated James Norton (Happy Valley, A Little Life, Nowhere Special), BAFTA-nominated Niamh Algar (Mary and George, The Virtues, Raised By Wolves, The Wonder, Calm With Horses), Olivier-nominated James McArdle (Sexy Beast, The Mare of Easttown, Life After Life) and BIFA-nominated Jessica Brown Findlay (The Flatshare, Life After Life, Black Mirror, Downton Abbey) all take leading roles in the limited series



Until I Kill You

The extraordinary true story of Delia Balmer, who survived a near-fatal relationship with murderer John Sweeney, is the subject of this drama. BAFTA-winning actress Anna Maxwell Martin (Motherland, A Spy Among Friends) will take the role of Delia Balmer while renowned actor and director Shaun Evans (Endeavour, Vigil) will play John Sweeney.


DI Ray

The crime drama returns for a second series starring Parminder Nagra (Maternal, Blacklist, ER) in the lead role of Detective Inspector Rachita Ray. Created by Maya Sondhi, who starred in Line of Duty, and produced by Jed Mercurio’s HTM Television, the acclaimed police thriller is set and filmed in Birmingham.
