ITV REVEALS MARCH PROGRAMMING HIGHLIGHTS, NEW AND RETURNING TITLES

ITV have revealed the new and returning titles launching on BBC One and iPlayer during March 2025.



The BRIT Awards

Broadcast live on ITV1 and ITVX, the show will be hosted by Jack Whitehall and feature spectacular performances from British and international artists and celebrate the last year in music with awards such as Mastercard Album of the Year, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year.



The Bay

The hit crime drama returns for its fifth series. Set in Morecambe, Marsha Thomason remains as Morecambe’s MIU Family Liaison Officer DS Jenn Townsend. When 23-year-old university student Hannah is found dead on the edge of the docks, Morecambe’s MIU team has another case to solve - Jenn, who is returning to work following the death of her father, pushes aside her own grief to support Hannah’s bitterly divided family.


A Cruel Love: The Ruth Ellis Story

Starring Lucy Boynton in the leading role - depicts the untold story of Ruth Ellis, the nightclub manageress and convicted murderer who was the last woman to hang in the UK. Laurie Davidson takes on the role of Ruth’s abusive lover and victim David Blakely, and Mark Stanley (Happy Valley, Dark River) plays Desmond Cussen, Ruth’s devoted admirer and sometime lover who is a regular at the Little Club and becomes caught up in Ruth’s toxic love triangle alongside Blakely.



Protection

As much of a conspiracy thriller as it is a police drama, this is the story of a compromised but ultimately honest police officer who is out of her depth yet acutely driven to understand the truth of her lover and how far a case of corruption goes. Police officer DI Liz Nyles works in the secretive and high-stakes world of Witness Protection - when we meet her, she’s juggling a challenging front-line job alongside a demanding family life attending to the needs of a teenage daughter, a difficult ex, and a dad recovering from a stroke.

Based on the best-selling novels from globally renowned author Peter James, series five will comprise of the following four films - Dead If You Don't, Dead At First Sight, Need You Dead and Find Them Dead. Also reprising their roles for series five are Richie Campbell (Top Boy, Stephen) who plays DS Glenn Branson, Zoë Tapper (Liar) as Cleo Morey, Laura Elphinstone (Chernobyl) as DS Bella Moy, Brad Morrison (Outlander) as DC Nick Nicholl and Sam Hoare (The Castaways) as ACC Cassian Pewe.



99 To Beat

The game show that anyone can win, but there’s one rule players must follow if they’re to be in with a chance of walking away with the cash prize – Don’t. Come. Last. As contestants battle it out against each other, each round will see the number of players whittled down until one person takes the top prize. Adam and Ryan Thomas will preside over all of the nail-biting action, offering playful commentary while guiding the 100 contestants through the experience as they go head-to-head in a range of simple, quirky and often hilarious games.


Britain's Got Talent

Series continues

Ant & Dec will once again lead the nation through a series of auditions featuring a wonderful array of talent, who’ll be performing to secure a spot in the live semi-finals by impressing the four inimitable judges - Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon and Bruno Tonioli. Brand new to Series 18 is social media sensation KSI, whose wide-ranging talents make him the perfect choice to spot emerging talent as he temporarily steps in as guest judge.
