ITVX UNVEILS SLATE OF ACQUISITIONS FOR SPRING AND SUMMER 2025

ITVX have announced its slate of acquisitions for Q2 of 2025.

FAKE

A gripping series that explores love in a world of liars, cheats, fantasists and phonies.

Inspired by Stephanie Wood’s powerful memoir Fake, this drama follows Birdie Bell (Asher Keddie), a magazine features writer who thinks she’s found her perfect match when she meets successful grazier Joe Burt (David Wenham) on a dating app. As the relationship intensifies, Birdie is torn between Joe’s magnetic pull and the instinct that her boyfriend isn’t all he has led her to believe..

SUSPICION

When the son of a prominent American businesswoman (Uma Thurman) is kidnapped from a New York hotel, the eye of suspicion quickly falls on four seemingly ordinary British citizens who were at the hotel on the night in question.

As they find themselves in a trans-Atlantic cat and mouse race to evade the combined forces of the National Crime Agency and the FBI to prove their innocence, it becomes apparent that not everyone can be trusted. Who is really behind the mysterious abduction, and who is only guilty of being in the wrong place at the wrong time?

ONE NIGHT

The story of three women whose bond was all but destroyed by the traumatic events of one night 20 years ago. Since then, Simone (Nicole da Silva) has harboured secret hopes of becoming a novelist, but most of her haphazard attempts have been shoved into her bottom drawer.

Now, at the age of 40, she has finally written the one story she could never get out of her mind and her debut manuscript has become an unexpected overnight success. However, it soon becomes apparent that the devastating story the book tells doesn’t exclusively belong to her - at the heart of Simone’s novel is a tragedy which also happened to Tess (Jodie Whittaker) and Hat (Yael Stone), her two childhood best friends.

KNUCKLES

The latest entry in the cinematic world of Sonic the Hedgehog. The live-action event series follows Knuckles (Idris Elba) on a hilarious and action-packed journey of self-discovery as he agrees to train Wade (Adam Pally) as his protégé and teach him the ways of the Echidna warrior. The series takes place between the films Sonic the Hedgehog 2 and Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - in addition to Elba starring as the titular character, Adam Pally reprises his role from the film franchise as Wade Whipple.

LOST

 Matthew Fox, Evangeline Lilly, and Dominic Monaghan star in the cult drama that follows the survivors of a plane crash on a remote tropical island in the South Pacific Ocean. After Oceanic Airlines Flight 815 crashes down, the survivors are on what seems to be a deserted tropical island. Their survival is threatened by a number of mysterious entities including polar bears, an unseen creature that roams the jungle, and the island’s malevolent inhabitants

ANGEL

A centuries-old vampire cursed with a conscience, Angel (David Boreanaz) has left the small California town of Sunnydale and the only woman he ever loved to take up residence in the City of Angels. Between the pervasive evil and countless temptations lurking beneath the city’s glittering facade, Los Angeles proves to be the ideal address for a fallen vampire looking to save a few lost souls - and in turn perhaps redeem his own by restoring hope to those locked in a losing battle with their own demons.

BUFFY THE VAMPIRE SLAYER

After moving to Sunnydale, California, Buffy Anne Summers just wants to be a normal teenager. Back in Los Angeles, her first Watcher had died, she inadvertently burned down the gymnasium at her old high school, and her parents got a divorce.

The move to Sunnydale is supposed to give both Buffy and her mother Joyce a clean slate, but she then meets school librarian Rupert Giles and quickly learns that there is no escaping her destiny. With Giles as her new Watcher, Buffy reluctantly steps back into her role as the Slayer - however, this time she is not fighting alone. Buffy now has an inner circle of special friends - Willow, Xander, Cordelia, and a mysterious young man named Angel - ready to join the fight and drive in a stake or two if need be.
