LIFE ON EARTH AT 50: BBC TO MARK ANNIVERSARY OF LANDMARK NATURAL HISTORY SERIES
The BBC are set to mark the upcoming anniversary of landmark natural history series Life On Earth, according to reports from Deadline.
Life On Earth was a 13-part natural history series released in 1979. A source told Deadline: "Life on Earth was a pivotal series in global natural history filmmaking, so naturally the BBC will be marking this anniversary."
The series saw the new legendary Attenborough explore the wildlife and landscape that inspired Charles Darwin's theory of evolution, the animal wonders to be found in a small area of the Great Barrier Reef, a look at the first land flora, the role of insect species, some of the 30,000 fish species, advantages of birds' feathers and Mammals' evolution from reptiles 200 million years ago.
