LOVE ISLAND TONIGHT: FRIDAY 12 JULY 2024

Here's a rundown of what happens on tonight's episode of Love Island, which continues on ITV2 and ITVX.

JOSH QUESTIONS MIMII’S MOTIVES WITH AYO

Later that evening, Mimii and Ayo head to the den for a chat, as Ayo admits he has been “probably thinking too much”.

When Mimii asks what he’s been thinking about, he coyly answers: “Just a lot of things, init, the whole sitch, with how it's all been happening” 

Mimii replies: “I feel like we’ve never been friends this whole time here, so we’re trying to navigate that whilst respecting our situations…” 

And it appears their cosy conversation hasn’t gone unnoticed, as on the bean bags Josh looks on and asks the boys: “look at the den. Ayo and Mimii are there just chatting”

Sean says: “I feel like he obviously....he still has feelings for Mimii” 

Josh replies: “That sh** pisses me off man…because I’ve been here doing the most” 

Clearly confused, he adds: “That’s not the first time I’ve seen her having one on one chats with him. There’s clearly something there…I don’t like seeing that” 

As Mimii and Ayo’s conversation continues, Reuben hilariously jumps up from the bean bags and tries to listen in on the conversation. What will he hear? And what will this mean for Mimii and Josh going forwards? 

SEAN & MATILDA HEAD OUT ON THEIR FIRST DATE 

Whilst relaxing on the day beds, Matilda gets a text which reads: “Sean and Matilda it’s time for your first date #LifeInTheFastLane #RoadToLove” 

As Sean drives the two off in a white convertible Porsche with the roof down, Matilda exclaims: “I feel like I’m in a movie!"

Taking a seat in a remote location to enjoy drinks and paella with a view, the two take the opportunity for some alone time. As the designated driver, Sean raises his apple juice and says: “Cheers to our first date” 

Discussing their Love Island journey, Sean begins by saying: “I just feel like our journey in here is just going so good and I’m excited for what’s to come. The feelings I’m feeling now, wow.”

Matilda agrees, saying: “You’ve proved yourself, 100%, no one compares to you, or how I feel about you. You feel like home” 

And it appears Sean has a very important question for Matilda, as he says: “I think what I’ve got with you is very special” 

But what will the question be? And how will Matilda react?

THE NEXT RECOUPLING LOOMS 

Later that day whilst catching up with Matilda post date, Mimii then receives a text which reads: 

“Islanders, tonight there will be a recoupling in which the girls will choose which boy they want to couple up with, as the newest arrival, Lolly will choose first” 

As tension builds ahead of the recoupling, who will the new bombshell Lolly choose?
