LOVE ISLAND TONIGHT: SUNDAY 09 JUNE 2024

Here's a rundown of what happens on tonight's episode of Love Island, which continues on ITV2 and ITVX.

NEW BOY OMAR ARRIVES AT THE VILLA AND DATES MIMII

Mimii has been left single but she’s about to head outside the front of the Villa for a date with new boy Omar. 

Omar reveals he is a PE teacher which impresses Mimii as she says, “Are you? So, you’re good with kids?”

Omar says, “Listen, I’ve been building myself up for the future so I can be a real great dad.”

Mimii says, “I love that.”

Omar asks, “Tell me what you’re looking for. What’s your type?”

Mimii says, “To be honest, you very much fit my type. Tall, handsome, pretty boy. That’s all me.”

The pair continue getting to know one another and it appears sparks are flying between the pair. Has Mimii’s head turned towards Omar or is she keen to continue getting to know Ayo? And does Omar have eyes for any of the other girls? 

JESS IS LEFT FRUSTRATED WITH RONNIE AS HE GRAVITATES TOWARDS HARRIETT

Jess has been left frustrated with Ronnie’s choices of words during the recent recoupling speech. Speaking to Ronnie on the day beds, Jess says, “Poor choice of words, Ron. I don’t think you said one nice thing about me. You don’t need to go about it that way.”

Ronnie says, “I’m not great with words. I want to apologise.”

But despite his apology it seems Ronnie is still keen on getting to know Harriett. Speaking to Harriett, Ronnie says, “Everything I said was honest - it just came out wrong. I do think there is something there from when we’ve spoke. I do want to see what’s happening with that.”

As Ronnie gravitates towards Harriett, what will this mean for him and Jess?

NICOLE AND CIARAN ENJOY SAND, SEA AND SNOGS ON THEIR FIRST DATE

Nicole receives a text which reads, “Nicole and Ciaran. It’s time for your first date at the beach! #firstdatefeels #packyourbeachbag”

With the help of the girls and boys Nicole and Ciaran get ready for their date. The pair arrive at the beach for their date and raise a glass. 

Talk turns to family as Nicole asks, “Do you think your mam would like me?”

Ciaran says, “I think you’d get along really well, yeah definitely. She said to me before coming here ‘You better get with a Welsh girl’. She’ll be landed now.”

Will Nicole and Ciaran continue to go from strength to strength? 

ISLANDERS TURN UP THE HEAT AT TONIGHT’S EBAY PRE-LOVED RED PARTY

As the Islanders relax in the garden, Joey receives a text which reads, “Islanders. Tonight you will be having a pre-loved red party. #eBay #getREDy.”

The Islanders start getting ready for the evening ahead as they prepare to turn heads in red. Soon, it’s time for a game as each Islander will pop a balloon with another Islander of their choice and they complete the dare inside. 

It seems as if Sean sees this as an opportunity to get closer to Jess as he pops his balloon with her before reading the dare inside, “Snog the Islander you’d most want to spend the night in the Hideaway with.” Sean heads straight over to Jess and locks lips with her. 

But all eyes are on Ayo when it comes to his dare which is “Snog the Islander you think is 100% your type on paper.” After ending up in a couple with Uma  but expressing he’s still interested in pursuing things with Mimi, who will he choose?
