MAMMOTH: FIRST LOOK AT NEW BBC TWO COMEDY STARRING MIKE BUBBINS AND SIAN GIBSON

First look pictures revealed show Mike Bubbins (The Socially Distant Sports Bar, Tourist Trap) and Sian Gibson (The Power of Parker, Car Share) as Tony Mammoth and Mel Jones in a brand new comedy series, Mammoth, coming to BBC Two and BBC iPlayer soon.

Also starring Joseph Marcell (Fresh Prince of Bel Air), Joel Davison (The First Team) and William Thomas (Gavin and Stacey/Twin Town).

Tony Mammoth is a blast from the past, a man out of time, literally. In 1979 he was a carefree bachelor, teaching PE and generally living la vida loca. Right up until an avalanche on a school ski trip swept him away to what was surely his untimely death. Except Mammoth didn’t die...

In 2024 Mammoth is miraculously found and brought back to life, a perfectly preserved middle-aged man. The world is his oyster, but Mammoth never really liked oysters, he's more of a pint and a packet of crisps sort of bloke. So all that Mammoth wants is his old life back; the same job, the same car, the same friends.

When Mammoth meets Mel, the pair don’t see eye to eye. She’s the mother of one of his pupils (Joel Davison). But little do they know they have a lot more in common than they think….

Mammoth (3 x 30) is a BBC Studios Comedy production for BBC Two, created by and starring Mike Bubbins, co-written with Paul Doolan, directed by Simon Hynd and produced by Luke Mason.
