MATT TEBBUTT TO JOIN MASTERCHEF LINE-UP FOLLOWING GREGG WALLACE EXIT

Saturday Kitchen presenter Matt Tebbutt is reportedly set to join the BBC's MasterChef line-up following the exit of lead judge and presenter Gregg Wallace last year.

The Sun newspaper reports that Tebbutt could be joining John Torode for the next year's series of MasterChef, and potentially replace Gregg Wallace as host of its Professionals spin-off.

This year's civilian series was in production when Wallace left the show in November, with MasterChef regular Anna Haugh reportedly stepping in for the latter stages of the competition alongside John Torode. The BBC still plan to air the series featuring Wallace later this year.

MasterChef The Professionals will also return later this year with a new host replacing Gregg Wallace. Do you have what it takes to impress Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti and be crowned the next MasterChef: The Professionals champion? Applications are now open here.

Meanwhile, the BBC announced that Grace Dent is to be a judge for the next series of Celebrity MasterChef alongside John Torode on BBC One and BBC iPlayer.

Award-winning restaurant critic, Grace, has been a regular guest on MasterChef for over a decade, as well as competing as a contestant on last year’s MasterChef: Battle of the Critics 2023.

Grace is a best-selling author and chart-topping podcaster, with a career in journalism spanning the past 15 years, as well as regularly appearing in food-centred TV and radio shows over the past decade.

Celebrity MasterChef will air this Summer on BBC One and iPlayer.
