SHORTLIST REVEALED FOR NATIONAL TELEVISION AWARDS 2024, VOTE NOW

Joel Dommett returns as host the 2024 National Television Awards, which take place on Wednesday 11th September at the O2 Arena in London. You can vote free online at www.nationaltvawards.com.

Celebrating everything from beloved primetime shows on scheduled TV to stand out hits on streaming services, these truly are the people’s awards where viewers’ opinion counts and their favourites take home the prizes.

Mr Bates vs the Post Office saw TV becoming a powerful tool for social change – now it earns a nomination in the New Drama category. It competes against the word-of-mouth hit Baby Reindeer, heartstring-tugging One Day and the heart-stopping thrills of two debut thrillers - Red Eye and Fool Me Once.

Icons are spotlighted in Authored Documentary, where Beckham and Robbie Williams revealed the men behind the myths. Alongside are two stars on personal journeys in Rhod Gilbert: A Pain in the Neck for SU2C and Rose Ayling-Ellis: Signs for Change, while Kate Garraway: Derek’s Story brought us one tale’s poignant final chapter.

Six years since its last appearance, a rebooted and resurgent Celebrity Big Brother was back – its success resulting in a nomination for Reality Competition. The Apprentice made a triumphant return to BBC1, as did the pulse-racing Race Across the World, while Joey Essex proved to be a hit surprise addition to Love Island on ITV.  But when it comes to TV talking points, can anything match the machinations of Harry on The Traitors?
