THE PERFECT PITCH RETURNS TO CHANNEL 4 FOR SECOND SERIES

Afanti Media’s The Perfect Pitch has been greenlit for a second series of the 15x 30-minute episodes for Channel 4 daytime it was announced at Wales Screen Summit.

The warm and funny series, which received support from the Welsh Government via Creative Wales, follows a revolving cast of British families as they explore Britain in their own beloved caravans, campervans or motorhomes.

The campers will head off again to explore more campsites from North Wales, North Yorkshire, and The Scottish Highlands, enjoying on and off-site activities and visiting nearby attractions.

Each of the locations will be judged by the families with just one winning the ‘The Perfect Pitch’ regional title with 2,000 prizemoney and a Perfect Pitch coveted plaque.

This light-hearted competition format from Afanti Media is a celebration of the amazing British countryside and our new found love of the staycation, and will inspire viewers to get out and see it for themselves.

Simon Cooper, Executive Producer, Afanti Media said: “With staycations here to stay, we’re delighted to have secured a second run. We’ll be turning up the heat (hopefully) with more fun and friction in store as our camping critics hunt for the best holiday hotspots.”

Rachel Job, SVP Non-Scripted Content at All3Media International commented: “Afanti Media have created a warm and high-quality series with Perfect Pitch and it’s great news that a further series has been commissioned. Series 1 has been well received by international buyers, both for tape and format sales, and this additional volume is a real boon as it grows into a global brand”.

The series was commissioned for Channel 4 by Kate Thomas, Commissioning Editor Daytime & Features, and will be Executive Produced by Afanti Media’s Emyr Afan and Simon Cooper with Lorna Hartnett as Series Producer and James Abadi as Series Director.

All3Media International is the global distribution partner for the series.
