PICTIONARY: FIRST LOOK AND CELEBRITY CAPTAINS REVEALED FOR ITV GAMESHOW

The celebrity captains joining Mel Giedroyc for the brand new series of ITV’s Pictionary have been announced, alongside afirst-look at what audiences can expect.

Produced by Whisper North, for ITV1 and ITVX, Pictionary (25x30) will feature two Christmas specials set to air in December with captains Denise Van Outen vs Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and captains Jeff Brazier vs Scarlett Moffat, perfect for festive family viewing. The brand-new series will then launch in January with more celebrities competing across the series.

Taking on the role of team captains throughout the series run are television presenter Angela Scanlon, actor and comedian Brian Conley, Dancing on Ice skating professional Dan Whiston, actress and singer Denise Van Outen.

Plus comedian and Strictly Come Dancing star Eddie Kadi, actress Hayley Tamaddon, former Olympian and broadcaster Jeanette Kwakye, TV presenter Jeff Brazier, TV personality Laurence Llewelyn-Bowen and TV favourite Scarlett Moffatt.

Inspired by Mattel’s popular board game of quick-fire sketches and hilarious guesses, each episode will see two celebrity team captains lead their team of contestants on a mission to draw images that match a word or phrase from a specific category. Meanwhile, their teammates will have to guess correctly to score with the chance to win an incredible prize.

Mel Giedroyc says: “I’m so delighted to be kicking off the festive season by bringing a family favourite to ITV with the incredible celebrity team captains. Filming the series was a barrel of laughs throughout, even more so when things got competitive. I really hope viewers laugh and play along - we had so much fun making the series!”

Denise Van Outen says: “I’m so excited for people to see our game of Pictionary come to life. It is going to be such a great watch of competitive fun, laughs and a little bit of chaos that people at home can get really invested in.”

Scarlett Moffatt says: “It was so much fun battling it out on Pictionary with Mel and the other celebrity captains. We had such a blast leading our teams to potential victory so I hope viewers will have just as much fun playing along with us.”

Filmed in Wales at Enfys Studios, Pictionary was produced with the support of Welsh Government via Creative Wales.
