Season 24 of Air Crash Investigation takes viewers into ten harrowing aviation disasters, meticulously reconstructing each event to uncover the causes and lessons learned.



With four gripping episodes airing this month, the season opens with Cabin Chaos, which follows China Eastern Airlines 583 as its flight from Beijing to Los Angeles descends into chaos. Severe mid-air manoeuvres result in two fatalities and 150 injuries, forcing the plane to divert to a top-secret US Air Force base in Alaska.



Power Struggle examines the crash of Sriwijaya Air Flight 182, which nosedived into the Java Sea after take-off from Jakarta. Overlooked defects emerge as investigators piece together the tragedy.


In Firebomber Down, a C-130 firebomber battling Australian wildfires crashes after a sudden weather event, killing its crew. Finally, Powerless Plunge explores the fatal crash of Loganair Flight 670A, which fell into the North Sea after dual-engine failure linked to a storm and de-icing system failure.
