World's Most Dangerous Roads | Series 5 Preview (Dave)

A new crew of brave comedy stars and celebrities buckle up to tackle some more treacherous terrain as they embark on extraordinary road trips through some of the most breathtakingly beautiful and remote parts of the world.

Each pair of intrepid travellers heads off on an adventurous journey of a lifetime across the globe in extraordinary locations including Namibia, Guatemala, Colorado, and Bhutan.

Along the way, they learn more about the epic terrains and the cultures of people living in these incredible locations as well as discovering more about each other.

In the first episode of the new series, Rhod Gilbert and his pal and fellow comedian Angela Barnes travel Italy’s most precarious alpine roads, starting in glamorous Sanremo on the Italian Riviera, and driving over 500km of dangerous terrain to the highest and most treacherous road in the Western Alps. 

It’s Rhod’s first big adventure since being treated for cancer and he’s ready for an adrenaline-fuelled ride, although Angela thinks driving up a mountain is a terrifying prospect. The pair face precipitous drop offs, hairpin bends and tunnels carved into the mountains.

Celebrities taking part in the upcoming second series are: Mike Wozniak and Ola Labib; pals Chris Kamara and Jeff Stelling; David Harewood and Fraser James; Seann Walsh and Joe Swash; Desiree Burch and Jessica Fostekew; Jamali Maddix and Larry Dean; plus Olga Koch and Thaniya Moore.
