Handmade: Britain's Best Woodworker | Series 3 Preview (Channel 4)
Mel Giedroyc returns for the third series, as 10 top woodworking enthusiasts compete to be crowned Britain's Best Woodworker.
Fighting hammer and nail to build wonderful works of wood that combine epic scale with fine craftsmanship and cutting-edge design, the woodworkers face a range of challenges to impress the judges: entrepreneur and woodworking expert Sophie Sellu and design academic Tom Dyckhoff.
The new woodworkers' first challenge is to saw, turn and joint their way to producing a dining table inspired by a country of their choice.
The pressure is on to create something strong and beautiful that will impress the judges and keep them safe from elimination.
They also have the chance of a lifeline, where the winner of the skills challenge is guaranteed survival if they can impress with their wooden greetings card. Who will carve out their place in the next round, and who will fail to make the cut?
Handmade: Britain's Best Woodworker returns Sunday 8th October at 8pm on Channel 4.
