The Masked Singer Christmas Special | Preview (ITV1)

Celebrating this festive season is a one-off special of TV’s favourite guessing game. The Masked Singer Christmas Special will see four well-known celebrities compete undercover in elaborate Christmas-themed costumes to keep their true identities hidden with all four famous faces unmasked in one episode.

In this festive episode of the BAFTA award winning series, Star, Turkey Crown, Nutcracker and Christmas Cracker will battle it out in two head to heads, but who will be crowned winner, winner Christmas dinner? 

Singing festive songs including, A Sleigh Ride Together With You, Have Yourself A Merry Little Christmas, The Christmas Song (Merry Christmas To You), Driving Home For Christmas, This Christmas and Having A Wonderful Christmas Time will the panel be able to crack clues and correctly guess who is hiding inside the masks?  

Host Joel Dommett will be presiding over the show which sees each celebrity perform to the panel of detectives, Mo Gilligan and Jonathan Ross who are joined by comedy titans Dawn French and Jennifer Saunders who are all trying to unwrap these festive faces and unlock TV’s best-kept secret.

A fresh batch of famous faces will don a line-up of extraordinary and elaborate costumes, in a bid to disguise their identities, as they sing in front of a studio audience and our celebrity judging panel.

The 2025 series will also the addition of a new companion show, The After Mask, hosted by Harriet Rose (Kiss FM, MTV, The Brits), will be available to fans of the show craving a further fix of masked-related mayhem after the main show, across on-demand, social and digital channels including ITVX and YouTube: The Masked Singer UK.

Filmed in studio straight after the main show, the party atmosphere continues on The After Mask, where fans can look forward to chatting and games with the superstar panel of celebrity detectives Mo Gilligan, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and newbie Maya Jama, all the tea from host Joel Dommett and exclusive unmasking interviews with the celebrity singers.

And Harriet heads backstage to reveal the secret sauce that goes into producing the nation’s most spectacularly staged show, from the choreographers to the costume designers.

The Masked Singer Christmas Special airs Boxing Day at 7:30pm on ITV1.
