Never Mind The Buzzcocks | Series 4 Preview (Sky Max)

The music-themed quiz will see actor and comedian Greg Davies back at the helm as host with returning team captain, Noel Fielding and regular panelist, Jamali Maddix. Daisy May Cooper will return as team captain for the Christmas special, with guest captains during the series.

Multi award-winning comedian, actor and writer, Sophie Willan, will sit in as opposing team captain for a handful of shows. The other episodes will consist of four themed special shows with very special musical guest Team Captains.

Era-defining girl power icon Mel B will bring the Scary and add the Spice for the Nineties episode. The cultural icon and frontwoman of The Gossip, noughties hit maker Beth Ditto, will join for “Buzzcocks Does… the Noughties”.

The one and only Goddess of Grunge, Courtney Love, will be in the hot seat for the episode celebrating all things Rock, and Perrie will join for “Buzzcocks Does… Girl & Boy Bands.”

With its usual characteristics of chaos and commotion, the new series will see the teams butcher beloved songs in the intros round and reminisce about the things they can – and can’t! – remember from the past. Expect surprise guests and nostalgia-infused games celebrating the Buzzcocks we all know and love, with a sprinkle of something extra special with the themed episodes.

The first episode is the first of four special themed episodes, as “Buzzcocks Does Rock” with special guest captain and rock icon Courtney Love standing in for Daisy May Cooper. Also joining the fun will be The Zutons' sax player Abi Harding, comedian and Masked Singer host Joel Dommett and original Sex Pistol Glen Matlock.

Of the new series, host Greg Davies said: “I am genuinely thrilled to be returning to the mayhem of Buzzcocks but realistically who reads these press quotes and why? Watch the show please and in-between episodes get out into the air, talk to your partner, read to your children. Live, for god's sake live.”

Never Mind The Buzzcocks returns Wednesday 16th October at 9pm on Sky Max.
