Suranne Jones: Investigating Witch Trials | Preview (Channel 4)

Actor Suranne Jones investigates the most infamous witch trials in history and explores their legacy today, beginning in the Lancashire town of Pendle, where she grew up, which was the site of one of the most notorious mass executions for witchcraft in English history.

She also travels to Germany, the epicentre of brutal witch trials that swept through Europe 400 years ago

They continued: "Suranne knows she’s not alone and believes there’s a huge viewership ready to lap up this kind of content. She will be filming in both the UK and US, exploring real-life witches as well as notorious witches from history."

Begins Sunday 23rd June at 9pm on Channel 4.
