University Challenge: Christmas Specials | Preview (BBC Two)

With Christmas just around the corner, University Challenge returns to BBC Two and iPlayer for its much-loved festive series. Chaired by host Amol Rajan, this special edition sees fifty-six distinguished alumni from fourteen universities grappling with remarkably tricky questions to claim the title of Christmas champions.

This festive edition gathers celebrated alumni from universities renowned for cultivating brilliant minds. The notable graduates, ranging from journalists and TV personalities to politicians and academics, will put their knowledge to the test in a spirited competition promising a display of intellect, wit and entertainment over the festive period.

Amol Rajan says: "There is always something magical about the Christmas series of University Challenge, and this year is no exception. The contestants are a rather lovely bunch of journalists, academics, politicians and other assorted professionals, all trying desperately to remind themselves of what they've forgotten from their own student days...
