PYRAMID: GAMESHOW FORMAT NOT TAKEN TO SERIES BY ITV AFTER PILOT WITH JANE McDONALD
Following a pilot in 2023 hosted by Jane McDonald, it's been revealed by The Sun newspaper that ITV will not be taking US gameshow format Pyramid to series here in the UK.

Pyramid is a word-association game format which airs in America on ABC and previously on CBS and three teams, each comprising of a celebrity and civilian contestant, compete against each other against the clock to win the grand prize of £60,000.
Each pair takes in turns to describe words to each other, without being able to say the word itself. Celebrity guests on the pilot were Justin Moorhouse, Marlon Davis, and Jenny Ryan.
After a hugely successful stint hosting the awards for the first time in 2023, the legendary Jane McDonald will be returning as host of the British Soap Awards to add extra sparkle to the most glittering event of the year.
The awards will take place in London and will honour the country’s four biggest soaps - Coronation Street, EastEnders, Emmerdale and Hollyoaks. Each soap will battle it out for one of the many highly sought after awards. So expect some of the biggest faces from all four soaps to be hitting the red carpet for the most star-studded and exciting event in the soap calendar.
As always, the awards will celebrate a year in our soaps and will be voted for by our expert judging panel or by the public.
The British Soap Awards air this Summer on ITV1.
